According to Barry Sears' Enter the Zone, a zone meal should be made with 1:1:1 ratios of protein, carbs and fat. If you're an elite athlete, you might raise the fat level to 2.
The Zone diet uses "blocks" to figure those ratios, which is sort of confusing. What's a block? According to Enter the Zone, a block is:
7 grams of protein
9 grams of carbohydrates
1-1/2 grams of fat
Since I'm eating 5-block meals, that means that I should have 35 grams of protein, 45 grams of carbs and 7.5 grams of fat in each meal. A 1-block snack is easy, and a 2-block snack has 14g protein, 18g carbs and 3g fat.
