I did my annual physical fitness test this morning. It consists of pushups (1 min max), situps (1 min max) and a 1.5 mile run. From day one, I have always maxed out my scores for pushups and situps in my age group: 57 and 53, respectively. But my run time has consistently gotten slower (even though I've begun running long distance races since then).
Today I ran a 9:13! It's my best time ever, and beyond that, I feel that I could realistically get it under 9:00 within a month or two.
